Idlevine Pinot Noir
Tasting notes
Sour cherry and pomegranate over an earthy, savory base. Medium-bodied, with a firm line of acid and grippy young tannin. A cool site aspect and minimal oak presence enhance the fruit-forward elegance of this Pinot Noir.
Production notes
Single vineyard, northeast facing, comprised of all seven Pinot Noir clones on the hillside: Pommard, 115, 667, 777, Mt. Eden, Swan, and 943.
Fruit was fully destemmed and fermented with native yeast, with 20 days on skins. The wine spent 16 months in barrel with minimal new oak. No sulfur added between crush and the end of malo, keeping the total sulfur very low.
Farmed with organic and biodynamic methods.
