About Uncommon Hours

Dundee Hills vineyard in the Willamette Valley

Uncommon Hours is a family-owned wine wholesaler based in Darien, Connecticut, founded by Laura and Eric McGlynn. We focus on small producers from Oregon, a region we know well and care deeply about. We’re building a more personal wine distribution company, with a clear point of view and a close connection to the growers and winemakers behind it.

Our mission is to represent our producers with knowledge and passion, while growing a strong market for small-production Oregon wine in Connecticut through close relationships with the restaurants and retailers we serve.

From our base in Fairfield County, CT, we work with restaurants and retailers across Connecticut that are looking for distinctive Oregon wines from small, independent producers. Our current portfolio is focused on Willamette Valley wines, with an emphasis on quality, authenticity, and long-term relationships.

The Founders

Eric and Laura met in South Florida in 2003 and spent the next two decades building businesses and a life shaped by food, wine, and hospitality. A first trip to Oregon in 2014 turned into a full relocation to the Willamette Valley, where they renovated homes, built a hospitality business, bought a vineyard, and made wine. When family brought them back to the East Coast, the connection to Oregon remained.

Uncommon Hours is the result: a way to represent the producers and wines they know firsthand in a market they know is ready for them.
